The Premium SMS feature allows you to access a variety of Premium SMS services from third party content providers. Premium rate short message services (SMS) allow content providers to offer value-added services to mobile phone customers using more memorable numbers. Why is Telstra Wholesale Exiting Premium SMS?

Premium SMS service numbers and usage have been in rapid decline with customers using other internet based services as alternatives. The infrastructure used to support Premium SMS for Telstra Wholesale customers is ageing and does not justify further investment.
