PRIORITY ASSISTANCE

Priority assistance is a service designed to help people with diagnosed life-threatening medical conditions. Southern Phone does not offer this service. Our plans aren’t suitable if you or someone in your home has a serious life-threatening condition and would be at risk without a phone service. If you need a Priority Assistance service, please contact another provider like Telstra.

4G/5G SIM PLANS PROMOTION
 

Offer ends 12 August 2024, unless varied by Southern Phone. Fair Use Policy applies.   

You will receive $5/month off the plan fees of Eligible SIM Plans for the first 6 months.  

The Small SIM plan, Medium SIM plan and Large SIM plan discount promotion is available to new customers only. If you change or cancel your Eligible Plan during the first 6 months, you will no longer receive this promotion. 

If you take up an Eligible Plan, the Promotion starts when your mobile service is connected. After the first 6 months, your plans fees will no longer include the Promotional Offer and will revert to the standard plan fee for your plan.  
Excess data and other charges outside plan allowance apply.  

Network: Available on the Optus 4G & Optus 5G mobile network. The Optus 4G Network covers 98.5% of the Australian population. The Optus 5G Network is currently available in selected areas of Australia (ex NT). Compatible 5G device required to access the 5G Network . When not in a 5G coverage area, the device will switch to the Optus 4G Network where it is available. 5G download speeds are capped at 100 Mbps. T&Cs apply. Fair Use Policy applies 

SIM Plans and handsets: Handset sold separately unless indicated otherwise. SIM plans include unlimited standard national talk and text and $50 international roaming allowance all plans exclude some usage in monthly plan allowances eg. international calls to premium numbers and international texts, text and calls to Australian premium numbers, directory assistance and satellite numbers. For unlimited plan inclusions, our Fair Use Policy applies. Unused data allowance expires each month. 

International call credit: If you make international calls outside your allowance or to ineligible countries, you will incur international call charges. Full list of eligible countries and call rates, including connection charges, available at southernphone.com.au/help  

Extra data: If you use more than your monthly data allowance, we automatically add data to your allowance for that month in 1GB blocks at $10/GB up to 3GB for use in Australia, after which such additional data blocks cannot be added. You may be charged $0.01/MB for further usage for a limited time before data access is discontinued for the rest of the billing period. You may request additional data usage ($0.01 per MB block) by calling 13 14 64. Unused extra data allowances expire at the end of that billing month.  

Device payment plan: If you cancel your service during your 24 month Device Payment Plan, you’ll need to pay any outstanding device repayments calculated as the monthly repayment amount multiplied by the number of months remaining on your contract term.

nbn® BROADBAND PLAN PROMOTION

This Promotion is available to new or existing Southern Phone customers who sign up to a new nbn Broadband Plan. A discount of $10/mth applies to the nbn Basic plan for the first 6 months. Standard monthly plan fees apply thereafter offer ends 30/7/24. 

nbn Network - General: nbn services not available to all customers or areas. nbn connection fees: nbn co connection fees may apply, eg if you’re in a new development not already connected to the nbn network, nbn co may charge $300 to connect your premises to the nbn network. nbn speeds: Typical busy period download/upload speed refers to the peak user period from 7pm-11pm each day. Typical busy period download/upload speeds for our nbn plans (7pm-11pm) are based on past measurements across a range of locations and connection technologies, and there may be times when your connection won’t achieve these speeds. Typical busy period download/upload speeds for our nbn plans (7pm-11pm) may increase or decrease over time and aren’t guaranteed minimum speeds. Actual speeds may be less due to several factors including network configuration, line quality and length, exchange type, customer premises interference, traffic and equipment. nbn Fixed Wireless is not available on nbn Standard, nbn Fast, nbn Superfast and nbn Ultrafast plans.

BYO or purchase a modem from us: If you bring your own modem, ensure it is compatible with your nbn service. 

Modem Promotion: Get 50% off the eero device pack when you purchase 2 or more devices and take up a new or have an existing Southern Phone nbn connection. The cost of the modem is not refundable if you change your mind and cancel your nbn service.
