Southern Phone CEO, David Joss has expressed his support for nbn’s recent announcement to invest in regional cities by expanding the nbn™ Business Fibre Zone footprint.

This new initiative means many regional businesses, who require a premium internet connection can have fibre installed with a no-cost installation at rates equivalent to metropolitan areas.

Mr Joss said during the pandemic many regional cities are being seen as attractive places to do business

“We see this as a significant levelling of the playing field between metro and regional businesses that require a premium broadband experience.

“As a regionally focused provider we understand the importance of high quality and competitive broadband as an enabler for innovation and economic growth.

“We believe that initiatives such as this create an opportunity for regional businesses to invest with confidence in digital capabilities that will ultimately keep regional cities thriving in an ever changing economy.”
