Grant Funds Re-Stringing Of Grand Piano

Share

On Saturday, May 21 in St Paul’s Anglican Church Narooma, the 20 dancing fingers of Natalia Tkachenko and Elena Nikulina will perform a program of piano duets – a piano concert for four hands, one piano, in the second Montague Visiting Artists Concert for 2016.

This concert has been chosen to celebrate the re-stringing of the grand piano, made possible with the assistance of a Southern Phone Community Grant from the Eurobodalla Shire Council. It will include music by Mozart, Schubert, Gershwin and Gavrilin.

Elena Nikulina and Natalia Tkachenko met in Canberra in 2007. Their shared love for piano duet performance led them to explore the repertoire. They began to give performances in 2013 and have since performed in numerous venues including the National Library of Canberra and the Wesley Music Centre. This will be their second concert in Narooma.

Tickets will be available at the door $25, or from Mitre 10 Narooma and Nested on Wallaga Bermagui for $23; school students free. Enquiries to 4473 7541 or www.montaguechoristers.org
