Home Access Line Rental in Arrears
Your first bill with Southern Phone Company may have an unusually high charge for Service and Equipment. Why is this?
Telephone companies charge customers line rental for each line for which they provide you service. Because of this we have to charge you for line rental for:
- the time you have already had service with us (on your bill this will be shown as Home Access Line Rental in Arrears) and
- the following months line rental in advance (appearing as Home Access Line Rental in Advance.
If you have a rental handset or other features such as Messagebank or Caller Number ID then charges for these will also appear in this section and have a charge in arrears.
Because your previous telephone service provider was charging you in advance you may be eligible for a refund from them if you have already paid their final bill. Otherwise it may be wise to get a revised balance before you pay the full amount.
