The jobs of the future are going to be in knowledge based industries and it is vital that we encourage our young people to consider studies in subjects that align with this.
In the Eurobodalla, we have an aging population and thus are running the risk of not having active participation in the digital economy in the future. By supporting the education of promising local students in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, we will help future proof regional Australia.
The Southern Phone STEM scholarship rewards academic excellence in secondary school studies in the study of science, technology, engineering or mathematics and provides assistance with costs related to tertiary studies.
Southern Phone will award five $2,000 scholarships to graduating Year 12 student from the Eurobodalla, who are going on to university to study a STEM related course.
