I am really very impressed with the service that I have had over quite a number of years now since I changed to Southern Phone and feel that it is important to voice that as I certainly would voice my complaint if I had one. It is fantastic that a phone company which is wholly Australian can offer service that is well and truly superior to the other major servers and employ Australian people and hopefully will continue to do so.
Since changing my mobile to Southern Phone in April this year I have been an extremely satisfied customer and have "shouted it from the rooftops". I have changed my husband's mobile from Telstra and recommended your company to everyone who mentions telephony. The reason for this is the reception I get on your Optus 3G network - we can now use our phones almost anywhere! (Not to mention the personalised service that is wonderful).
I am a customer of at least 6 years standing and recently, due to a lack of understanding on my part mostly I called to complain vis-a-vis my Internet Service. I was none too happy yet each of your consultants possessed the greatest understanding and skills to attend to an irate customer ie myself. They handled the situation with great professionalism and explained everything to me in a no nonsense manner to my greater understanding. PS The best thing about Southern Phone is the people and their personal touch. I hope that never changes.
I changed to you guys last month, and have to say I have always been completely happy with the fantastic customer service that I have received each time I have called. Always answered by a person who is always happy and very willing to help.
When we changed from Telstra to you, Telstra rang us to ask why we changed. We told them of your better rates, and the guy said "We could have offered you those rates" - ( but they didn't when we were with them). Yours is a marvellous service, and we are most impressed with this latest suggestion. Thanks very much.

Hi there, this is not a question or complaint but i just wanted to tell you of a funny story. I have been a customer with southernphone at home,at work and on my mobile for a while now.this last week and a half i have had a telstra man ringing me everyday to try and get me to swap over.he sent me faxes with the deals and told me telstra prices were cheaper as they had just dropped them.after talking to him today i told him i was happy where i was and i wanted to stay with southernphone.he then said to grab my old southern phone bill and he would go thru it with me and tell me how much i would save if i were with telstra.i told him fixed to mobiles were my most often and expensive calls so we would go thru those first. After reading him a couple of call times and costs, he asked me if i was reading the right thing. He said "that cant be possible, i have never heard of anyone being so cheap" he then told me to grab another bill as he thought you had made a mistake on the other.after pulling out a second bill and reading him 2 more mobile calls he said"stop.i dont need to hear anymore.stay where you are,they are cheaper by far" he then apologised for waisting all my time and then hung up!!! I couldnt help but have a giggle and thought i would share my story with you and let you know how happy i am.
Your company has always given us such good service that I felt the need to burst into print to thank yourself and your co-workers for yet more exemplary service.
I have been with Southern Phone Company now for about 6 months and I just wanted to let you know that I am really happy with your service. We are saving money each month as our phone bill is less then it was before with our previous phone company. I also like being able to check how much credit we have remaining and being able to know during the month how much our phone bill is going to cost. It is also great being able to talk to someone straight away if I need assistance. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Just a short note to acknowledge the excellent service I have received from your phone company. Being with Southern now for just over a year, and previously being with other communication companies. My experience with your staff whenever I have had to make contact has been friendly, helpful and most importantly very easy. There is so much choice out there at the moment and admittedly I could probably find lower prices with some services, however when your on a good thing you stick with it. I have just switched over to Southern Phone and I would like to say that I have been so impressed by your service.... I needed technical support changing over my computer and I found that the gentleman that helped me was so helpful and understanding as there were slight problems changing over and he was so patient and helpful. switched to Southernphone earlier this year and find that each time I need to call for tech support or other advice I receive prompt and professional service. The telephone and internet service is cost effective and lives up to the claims in your proposal. This morning I had to call for tech support for an adsl modem issue and again I was connected to a real person immediately and to a technician within a minute. The whole issue was resolved within five minutes. Previously I was with Optus and have been connected to Telstra in the past as a corporate client. Never have I had an issue addressed so quickly and efficiently and its not as though with Southernphone I'm paying for any premium service. Good service should be recognised so I thought I should send a note to say that finally there's a company out there that promises service and delivers on it.
Rang and left a message, Southern rang back ??? I spoke to a person ???? There was no robot auto attendent??? I was not put on hold???? I was not transfered 5 times, after being on hold in 3 countries, with 3 people I could not understand??? My questions were answered???? I felt like a customer, a person of value,not just a number???? We have just met, are you really true??? I hope so....I WAS a Telstra customer for 20 odd years, now I am with you.....I am so afraid this will all go even mpre pear shaped than it has with Telstra, but...... just like the paper I recieved said....I SPOKE TO A PERSON!!! amazing......... Welcome into my telecommunications life, please help me and treat me with respect, I am so over being treated badly by Telstra....so very over it... And most of all THANK YOU !! My customer service consultant was funny, informative and talked to me about all things Aussie! What a welcome relief!
I am very pleased to say that we have been with Southernphone at a guess of about a year year and a half,not real sure now,, Anyway I would just like top let you know how very happy we are with this service....We have had other services,but must admit this, one tops them all,as far as we are concerned,,,, Being on a disability pension and my hubby on a careers pension we have to be very careful,on how we manage our money,,This service is god for us, In the few times my husband, has rang the people-on this service for advice,he is very happy to have such friendly people that he can understand, So congratulations on a great service that suits us,,the only time we would ever swap again,is if and only if, there are changes and it gets far too expensive for us,, Thanking you again

Thank you for your reply which I must say simply reinforces my opinion that Southern Phone is superior in that customers are answered and by an Australian in Australia. I truly do believe that Southern Phone do provide an extremely good service and that at any time when I have needed tech assistance I have been able to speak to an English as first language Australian.
I would like to thank Southern Phone for all their help during this period. Tech Support were very professional and understanding and it is always a pleasure to be greeted by happy voices when I ring you up. I have recommended you to people I know.
