The bundled pricing discount applies when you bundle your ADSL service with a Southern Phone mobile or fixed line service.
Peak Downloads are 8am and 1am. Offpeak Downloads are between 1am and 8am. Speed will be shaped to 72k/72k for the remainder of the billing period in which the download quota has been exceeded. So, if you exceed your peak downloads, then peak downloads will be shaped, but your offpeak downloads will not be. If you exceed downloads in both timeslots then both timeslots will be shaped.
1GB (Gigabyte) is equal to 1000MB (Megabyte); 1MB is equal to 1000KB (Kilobyte).
Plans speeds are shown in downstream/upstream format and speeds are theoretical network maximum speeds. Actual speeds may be less due to a number of factors including network configuration, line quality & length, exchange type, customer premises interference, traffic and equipment.
ADSL 2+ Data counted on both upload and download.
Please note that ADSL 2+ data usage is counted in both directions (uploads and downloads). ADSL1 is counted on download only.
Cancellation fees
12 month contract: Closure fee for cancellation within the 12 month contract term is $100.
24 month contract: Closure fee for cancellation within the 24 month contract term is $300 pro rated for the months remaining on your contract term. For example, a customer who cancels their contract 12 months into a 24 month contract may have to pay a termination fee of $300 x 12/24 (where 12 is the number of months left to run on the contract, divided by 24 months) = $150.
Free Plan Changes
You may change you plan once per month without charge, as long as it does not also mean a change of line speed. eg A change from 1500/256 10Gb to 1500/256 20Gb is free as it is on the same speed. A change from 256/64 4Gb to 1500/256 10Gb is $35 as it means a change of line speed.
Line Speed Change fee
A change of
line speed (eg. from 256/64 to 1500/256) will cost $35.
Relocation fee
A fee of $185 applies for service relocations. A service can only be relocated if your new address is served by an exchange enabled with the appropriate ADSL equipment.
Incorrect call out fee
If a fault is lodged and a technician attends your premises and finds the fault is in your equipment and not in the network an incorrect callout fee of $150 applies.
In order to get online your telephone line needs to be provisioned (made ADSL Broadband compatible). This process generally takes 5 to 21 working days. These changes take place at your local exchange.
You will only be billed if and when your ADSL line provisioning is successful.
