Add a Mobile Phone Data Pack
Avoid the risk of high data charges on your mobile phone account by adding a Data Pack. Internet browsing is the main use that generates data charges.
If your mobile operates on the Optus 3G network your data bolt on plans also have unlimited access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

Your Mobile Credit includes:
- Standard calls to landlines and mobiles, SMS, voicemail deposit and retrieval, international calls, calls to 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers.
- We will alert you by SMS when you are near your credit limit and when you have exceeded your limit.
- Once the call and data credit limits are reached normal charges apply. Your mobile credit can't be used while you're overseas. There is no rollover of credits, they expire at the end of the billing month.
Your mobile credit does not include:
- Premium Text and Premium numbers eg 1900 numbers and competitions
- International roaming
- Directory assistance
- Mobile commerce transactions eg Ringtones
- Mobile Internet and Data
- These services and all other calls and services made once you pass the credit limit that is included in your plan are charged on your account.
Mobile Rates
- Standard calls 50 cents per 30 seconds. Standard calls include calls to other mobiles (but not satellite phones) and to fixed line phones. They are billed in 30 second increments. A connection fee of 39¢ applies to all standard calls. A 2 minute standard call costs $2.39 including the connection charge.
- Calls from your Home Super mobile to other fixed and mobile services on your account are just 1c/min for the first 5 minutes, then standard call charges apply. These calls are billed in 30 second increments. A connection fee of 39¢ applies to all calls.
- SMS Messages: 25¢ (up to 160 characters)
- Casual data is $0.50 per megabyte (MB) and a minimum charge of 25¢ applies.
- Voicemail: Deposit: 7.5¢ per 30 seconds, Retrieval: 15¢ per 30 seconds
- MMS (Multi Media Messaging): Standard MMS : 77 cents, Video MMS: 99 cents

A 39¢ connection fee applies to international calls.
- If you're planning to take your mobile overseas you'll need to contact Southern Phone to make sure your service is activated for international roaming. The charges for calls made when international roaming can be extremely expensive. They are set by the carrier in the country where you use the service and are outside our control.
Your Fixed Line Credit includes
- $20 of long distance calls are included on our $49.95, $59.95 and $79.95 Home Super plans.
- $70 of long distance calls, calls to mobiles and international calls are included on our $69.95 Home Super plan.
- The long distance and local calls included on our $89.95, $99.95 and $109.95 plans are subject to a Fair Use Policy of 2,500 call minutes per month.
- Once the call cap is reached normal charges apply. There is no rollover of call credits. They expire at the end of the billing month.
Fixed Line Rates
- Line Rental FREE
- Local Calls 18 cents
- Calls from your Home Super fixed line to the Home Super mobile service on your account are just 1¢/minute for the first 5 minutes. Then standard call charges apply. Calls are billed in 30
second increments. A 39¢ connection fee applies to all calls.
- Long Distance Calls are capped at $2.49 for up to three hours.
Standard long distance rates are: 12¢/min for calls less than 50km; 25¢/min for calls over 50km. A connection fee of 39¢ applies to all calls.
- Calls to mobiles are capped at $1.49 for up to 10 minutes. Standard call charges are 37¢/min for calls to any mobile network. A connection fee of 39¢ applies to all calls.

Home Super is available to residential customers only. Southern Phone reserves the right to reject any application without providing reasons. We also reserve the right to change or withdraw any offer at any time.
If a free mobile phone is accepted an early exit fee of $19 multiplied by the months left on the 24 month contract applies if both the home phone and mobile services are not connected for 24 months.
There will be an $8 Port Out charge applied if you transfer your mobile service to another provider. Our mobile SIM replacement fee is $20.
