Calls to mobiles are capped at $1.49 for up to 10 minutes. Standard call rates are 37¢/min for calls to any mobile network.
Calls from your Home Free fixed line to an eligible Southern Phone mobile on your account are just 1¢/minute for the first 5 minutes*. Then standard call charges apply.
Long Distance calls are capped at $2.49 for up to three hours. Standard long distance rates are: 12¢/min for calls less than 50km; 25¢/min for calls over 50km.
A 39¢ connection fee applies to all long distance, fixed to mobile and international calls.
Calls are billed in 30 second increments.
Capped long distance calls:
$2.49 is the maximum that you will pay for a call of up to 3 hours (call connection fee included). If you hang up before 3 hours, you only pay for the time you've used capped at $2.49, including the call connection fee. If your call exceeds 3 hours the per minute rate will start again from that time without a cap.
Capped calls to mobiles:
$1.49 is the maximum that you will pay for a call of up to 10 minutes (call connection fee included). If you hang up before 10 minutes, you only pay for the time you've used capped at $1.49, including the call connection fee. If your call exceeds 10 minutes the per minute rate will start again from that time without a cap.
Home Free local calls:
The Home Free Plan includes up to 50 free local calls each month. It does not include 0198 internet connection or data calls, or calls to 13 or 1300 numbers.
*1 cent per minute mobile calls:
If you have a mobile service on a Southern Phone 19, 29, 39, 69 or 129 Mobile Plan that is billed on the same account as your fixed line service then calls between these mobile and fixed line services are charged at 1 cent per minute for the first 5 minutes, then normal rates apply. A 39 cent connection fee applies to all calls.
